I've had this thought for a while now and I just figured I would share it in hopes it may encourage other believers in Christ. Our troubles have a tendency to encompass us in our own little world of suffering. Satan uses this as a tactic to keep us focused on ourselves. We totally forget that the Lord has shown us what he can and will do with our struggles over adversity. Take for instance the story of Job and all that he went through. Job went through an ever increasing season of trial and suffering. Like many of us when we go through trouble; Job faced one thing after another. We should be so fortunate to only face one problem at a time in our lives, but that is rarely the case as we see even in Jobs story. The thing that amazes me most about God and how he uses our suffering, is not the victory we receive, even though that is definitely worth praising God about. No its how God used Jobs trials to teach generations for generations to come. I can promise you that Job in no way shape or form had the idea that his story will be told to encourage millions in history. His pain ended up being a blueprint that would encourage, uplift, educate and help put our minds about our troubles in the proper perspective. The Bible is comprised of 66 books and I can guarantee you that none of the people expected their story to be told for generations to come. Their stories helped uplift countless people.
Now there are many books that do this, but none of them have done it on the same scale as the bible. None of them have achieved worldwide recognition as the bible has. It's like the story of Moses and when he threw down his staff and it turned into a snake. Well Pharaoh's magicians did the exact same thing just to prove they can do it to. But in the end, it was Moses' snake that ate the magicians snake and therefore proved who had the higher authority. Well the same thing here with other books being written to encourage others. There are many duplicators but none have come close to what God has comprised inside the bible. The New Testament is comprised of a bunch of letters which in turn become books that in turn became a part of the bible which is still being used to this day. I am speculating, but I seriously doubt that any of these servants of God expected their work to last as long as it did. None of them could have foreseen the Lord using their struggle as a means to encourage others in the scale that it has become today.
In the book of Corinthians Paul was talking to the Corinthians not Kentuckians or Californians or Ohioans. Yet God took these words and these lives and then carried them further than they could of went on their own without God. Yes there are many duplicators, but only one who has supreme authority over all. I say all this to remind you that even though you may be going through a tough time in your life right now or in the near future; the Lord will use your story to encourage others and bring them unto himself. He can and will carry your story farther than you could ever imagine. Yes he wants to bring you out of your pain, but there are others who will be going through it too and he has the power to use your story to reach others.
It amazes me that the bible didn't even start out as the bible. It started as a bunch of letters and scrolls that later became what is it is known today. It has sold over 100 million copies and climbing. That means the story of Jobs suffering is still being told and still encouraging Christians who are going through tough times. That means that the preached messages of Paul, Peter and the other Apostles are still being taught well beyond the lifespan of the original writer. You just never know how God will use your story to teach about his goodness and love. However God chooses to tell it, it will go farther than the trouble you are going through. - Be blessed and a blessing-
